The Bosch ROS20VSK Random Orbit Sander Kit is the replacement for the popular Bosch 1295DVS.  It is arguably the best 5” random orbit sander on the market. Given its low price, you get excellent value for your money. Despite its small size and light weight it is a powerful sander. Dust collection is very good and it is fairly quiet. One drawback is the small dust collector, you may have to empty it several times. But it is of course much better that it collects most of the dust, forcing you to empty the dust collector, rather than having dust all over the place.

The Bosch ROS20VSK has a comfortable soft-grip top and body, you can use multiple grip positions to minimize hand fatigue. It generates virtually no vibrations.

The moment I picked this tool up I new it was quality. Fits perfectly in your hands. Dust collection is unbelievably good. Almost no dust escapes and you can probably get by without a dust mask if your outside. You do have to empty it often, every 10 to 15 minutes or so but hey, would rather unclick it and bang it on the side of the trash can than be covered with the stuff and inhaling it! I couldn’t believe it the first time I was sanding. Very quiet, very smooth, you don’t have to wear ear plugs anymore! The Genesis GMT15A Multi-Purpose Oscillating Tool has been a best seller for quite some time. This is mainly due to its versatility combined with an attractive price tag. You get a tool that can be used for a lot of different functions, and don’t need to pay much for this multi-purpose tool. But can one single tool solves all your sanding, grinding, cutting and scraping tasks? Well, yes the Genesis GMT15A Multi-Purpose Oscillating Tool is an excellent multi-purpose tool. But like most multi-purpose tools, it is not as good as the best single-purpose tools.  That would be too good to be true. But the Genesis GMT15A is capable managing of most tasks around the house. Given the price, you get excellent value for the money. One minor drawback is that the Genesis GMT15A is pretty noisy.

My dad insisted I should buy one of these oscillating tools but I felt they were over-priced. Then I came across the Genesis on Amazon. For $35 I thought I’d give one a try. What a great tool.

I’ve used it to cut plastic waste piping, trim plastic laminate, sand tight corners, and trim door casing for new tile. I’ll never be without one again. It seems well made.
